Each social media platform has different specifications for photos. When choosing to share to multiple platforms through Echobox, it is important to keep in mind that one post may work on one platform and fail for another. 

 

Facebook - Post

Image formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, WEBP*

Max file size: 4MB; 8MB for link share images; max 1MB recommended for PNG formats

Aspect ratio: 16:9 recommended 

Dimensions: min 200 x 200 pixels; max 1080 pixels wide

GIF support?: up to 8MB

 

Twitter

Image formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP*

Max file size: 5MB

GIF support?: up to 15MB

 

Instagram - Post

Image formats: JPEG

Max file size: 8MB

Aspect ratio: Between 4:5 and 1.91:1

Dimensions: min 150 x 150 pixels; max 1920 x 1080 pixels

GIF support?: No

 

Instagram - Story

Image formats: JPEG

Max file size: 30MB

Aspect ratio: 9:16

Dimensions: 1080 x 1920 pixels recommended

GIF support?: No

 

LinkedIn

Image formats: JPG, PNG, GIF

Max file size: 100MB

Aspect ratio: 1.91:1

Dimensions: min 200 pixels wide; 1200 x 627 pixels recommended

GIF support?: Yes, at the same file size

 

Threads

Image formats: JPEG, PNG

Max file size: 8MB

Aspect ratio: max 10:1

Dimensions: min 320 pixels wide; max 1440 pixels wide

Find Image Details

To determine the details of your image, download the picture. Once downloaded, right click on the attachment and select ‘Show in Folder’. 

Windows: Right click on the picture > Properties > Details

MAC: Right click on the picture > Get info > More info
